When I am teaching my class about the walls of Jericho tumbling down, I build a small city out of wooden bricks. The children have musical instruments and they march around the city. I flick the lights out and they lay down and pretend to sleep. We do this 6 times and then on the last time they march around 6 times, just like in the story. Another example is the crossing of the Red Sea. I get 2 pieces of blue paper and my co-teacher and I hold the paper. The children walk to the middle and state if they are Egyptian or Israelite. If they are Israelite we let them pass through, if they are Egyptian we close the paper on them.
